About Corporate Prayer
Eagle Rock Church is a church that believes strongly in the power of prayer. While we are each called to talk to God personally, there is power in agreement and corporate prayer as well as intercessory prayer. See our prayer times listed on our page.
Corporate Prayer
Corporate Prayer describes prayer done collectively as a church. In Acts 2:42, we learn that the early church prayed together: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Intercessory Prayer
Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. Christ is pictured in the New Testament as the ultimate intercessor, and because of this, all Christian prayer becomes intercession since it is offered to God through and by Christ. Jesus stood in the gap between us and God when He died on the cross.
