Youth who have mentors in their lives are 63% more likely to reduce high-risk behaviors such as violent tendencies, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco use, and sexual activity. The Reel Living Outdoor Mentoring Program seeks to enhance the quality of life for at-risk children, and successfully guide them through school, to college/career, and Christ. Through strategic partnerships with campgrounds, local businesses, churches and strong men and women of integrity, we are uniquely equipped to inspire youth through exciting outdoor adventures.

Psalm 68:6 says that, “God sets the solitary into FAMILIES…but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” Even in the beginning when God created Adam, He said that it was not good for him to be ALONE. All throughout scripture and creation, we can see how life thrives when connected to a strong support system, but people struggle when disconnected.

What makes some children more vulnerable than others? The quality of their support system. It is the family that must champion the task of educating their children about the responsible social values that lead to the character that insulates them against self-destructive behavior. However, they need help. The Reel Living Outdoor Mentoring Program partners with schools, community organizations and families to instill the knowledge, soft skills, support, and VALUES that every child needs to THRIVE!
